Our first training class seems to have been a success. More of our editors completed training and are entering supervised editing than we've had before. Only one editor dropped out completely and another has postponed, but I suspect she'll drop out as well. The other three are ready to go.
This has been so successful, we're offering a class to new writers as well. To be frank, though, (Why Frank? Why not Alice, or Dana?) anyway... to be frank, my throat hurts! I've been talking 6 hours straight for two days running.
Our editing team has requested a Facebook page. Up to this point, I've been very strict about not having one. I finally relented, though and gave them their own group. It's set to secret and the rules are lined up pretty clear. I'm still nervous though. I've seen what nastiness people start once there's a FB group.
One of the clients I have had decided to allow a FB group and the people in it turned nasty faster than you could blink. Then again, maybe it was just that crowd? I don't know. They were nasty to each other and to their client. I didn't understand it then, either.
So I relented, but temporarily. Again, we'll see how it goes.
I also have to go to the dairy tomorrow. I woke up this morning to discover my cream had spoiled. :( This means that the milk will go soon, too. I just don't have the energy to head out to the dairy tonight. I'm thinking I should but... bleh.
So glad that the mega talking portion of the training is DONE. Now, to get back into routine again!
Have a great night, everyone. Will see you tomorrow!
Dana
