Catch Up Day!

Ugh. My Back hurts. Still. We're going on three weeks now. Yet, we know why my back hurts this badly. I need to sleep in my own bed, and not on the couch. One problem with that though. There are seven cats in my bedroom. Granted, six of them are babies, but it still smells like a damned farm in there. This is a huge part of why I don't like cats.

They stink. Three litter boxes, and Mama insists on using only one. She insists on training the other six to use only one. (Yes, they are four weeks old, and climbing into her overgrown litter box already.) We can't use scoopable litter cause the little critters could eat it and die. So it's the old clay, scoop five times a day and empty out every single night, litter. I try to get the kids to change it twice a day but Honey insists that even changing it one time a day is too much.

So, it's been the couch for me. Puppies are easy. Open the back door. If they have an accident, clean it up with a paper towel and stick that paper towel and their mess outside. Show them. Leave the back door open. They get it within a couple of days.

Ah well. We knew it wouldn't be easy when we didn't give Mama a choice in it. But well, it's just one of those things, yanno? Babies are babies regardless of what species they are. They are a part of the cycle that makes up our lives. These guys will grow up and older. They will chase mice for us. A couple will insist on being outside and they will chase our snakes.

The dogs, from the tiny rat terrier, to the huge husky/shephard, all seem to get along with the babies. Mama rips the crap out of me if I try to take her out of the bedroom though. She is, and will be from now on, a room kitty I think. That's fine. ONE cat I can handle.

Anyway, Saturday I focused on LW queries, and getting resumes for RF caught up. I knocked out 2/3 of them which is great. Saturday night, I looked around and just about lost it. I tend to get pretty busy at times. It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that in the back of my mind, I have all day to get stuff picked up real fast. Only, all day I'm working. By the end of the day, I'm ready to pass out, and the place is still a bit messy. Then, kids add to it, etc.

So, I woke up Sunday morning, and it was catch up on the house day. Even my husband joined in on the party with bathroom duty. I was trying to get my son to take care of it since my daughter and I can't use the cleaning chemicals. Well, we can, as long as we don't want to breathe. My son however, wasn't being quite as cooperative as we hoped, so Honey did the bathroom.

We also moved stuff around. Sometimes, we forget that we live in a very small house. Big land, teeeeeny tiny living space. I am one of those people, I just can not have a ton of clutter around me. I'm not a neat freak or a clean freak, but if I can't get from point A to point B in my house without having to move around obstacles, I go NUTS.

I can't tell you how much better it looks and feels in here. Afterwards, we got in some much needed family time.

So, now it's catch up on LW stuff day. I have three days worth of QA to catch up on. I am determined to have LW caught up, and the rest of the resumes done, by the time Honey gets home. Then, it's gym time. Maybe tonight, I'll have a chance to get some Adecco (used to be WFL) time in, as well. But for today, my focus is on just two things. Catch up LW. Finish off resumes.

Well, three things. Catch up on LW, finish off resumes, and keep working on getting those kittens out of my bedroom! By the time two weeks has passed, I will be in MY bed, and those babies will be with the rest of the house.
