Out with the old and in with the new, here is 2013 so bid 2012 adieu.
For many, bringing in the new year is a time to also make unreasonable promises as to what one is going to do that year. It is a time for personal examination and growth. Last year, my resolutions were simple. I wanted to get KP off the ground and maybe lose a couple of pounds while I was at it.
Well, I got KP going with the help of very good friends and coworkers. There is no way anything with KP would be possible without them. And, I have lost a couple of pounds. Then gained them back, and then lost them, and well, you know how the yoyo goes.
This year, my goals are more for personal development. I want to continue to grow KP, (of course) but also want a few things for myself.
1. Spend less time on the computer. Don't get me wrong, I do love my work. I just need to rediscover the world outside of cyberspace.
2. Work on further building friendships. I have some horrid social anxiety going on over here. That combined with social awkwardness, and it's just a big ol' mess. I'm hoping to continue working through that. I used to love social interactions. While I don't expect I'll be at that point again, I'd at least like to get to where I can be comfortable in social settings.
3. Develop family ties. That's one that I don't know how to begin with. I've been focused so hard just on making it that I've neglected family ties outside of the nuclear family. I'd like to start building those, if possible. I just have to figure out where to start is all.
So how about you? What are your goals for 2013? I believe that by focusing on our own personal growth, and by keeping the goals reasonable, we can easily achieve them!
Happy new year everyone.
