Well, we did some hiring yesterday. The combined experimental training class starts on Monday. We're doing on site and off site training at the same time. Gotta love the Internet (sometimes). I'm honestly not sure how we'll run it.
It's going to be a maddening weekend. I have another person that I'd like to interview, plus need to get the training materials together for the class. We're gonna calculate BPS statements, identify fluff, take out the crap, and make sample items meet word count. It's gonna be F-U-N! If your idea of fun is extremely boring, that is. These five editors are going to hit the editing floor on Wednesday and knock everything out of the park immediately.
I also need to complete Farmer's Market Day (best damn day of the week) and chore day (worst day of the week) and it appears that I get to hop in and do some editing myself this weekend. (REALLY???)
Each day, I try to take a bit of time for this blog. Honestly, it's as much for me as it is for my family and friends. You guys know how it is. You sit down and say, "I need to email Casey and say hi today." Three months later, you're remembering that you still need to sit down and email Casey. Another year goes by, kids have gotten older, jobs have gotten better, etc, and we've still forgotten to email that one person.
I do the same thing except on the grand scale of oh... everyone! It's never intentional but when you don't have time to scratch your own butt, you tend to forget to communicate with those you care about. This blog is the answer to that. If I happen to pick up friends along the way, all the better.
Well, it's time for me to make my tea and wake up the family. I'm anxious to head to market.
