Adjusting

First, let me say that I have the most amazing teams ever. Most of the time, half of the workload that exists on these projects isn't even seen by me because Katie has already cleared it before I woke up! Working with Katie is like working with a dream come true.

That being said, there is still a lot of work involved here and I haven't been able to cook a real dinner for my family since I started at oDesk. Hey, I'm not complaining.... they are! Stouffer's and local fast food restaurants have been very happy, however. I think we kept them both in operation since August.

Now, I've been threatening my husband for months, telling him I was going to make him work for me. Usually he does little things for me across my projects, and hopes I pay him at least something. This though, was something more serious. This threat was, he would actually sit down and WORK for me. Finally, the other day, I decided to follow up on that threat.

My husband is now our new recruiter and hiring manager over at oDesk. Once our regular recruiter is back to his recruiter duties, Thad will then be my hiring manager and part time support specialist.

On the one hand, I feel badly. He leaves the house each day to go to work, only to have to come home and go to work again. On the other hand, for the first time in months, I made dinner for my family tonight. We're having pork chops, fresh spinach steamed,  mashed potatoes and biscuits. And things are getting done much smoother on my oDesk projects as well. I know that if I tell my husband I need this many people in this area, he will get me those people. He's just amazing like that.

So anyway, we're making dinner tonight. A real dinner. And husband is getting his first taste of a real work at home job. :-) Wish us all luck, cause we may just need it!
